Firmware – Viper Resolutions & Features 10th Oct 2019

Vista has released firmware updates for its range of Viper NVR and DVRs. The models and download links are listed further below.

Updates are required from time to time in order to add features etc. Current updates are mainly due to a Push Notification change.

Push notification service is not working due to Provider changing their hostname – this is now resolved

Also resolved:

  • P2P, occasional registration issue
  • DVR ID not working when using VKBD4 to connect to multiple DVRs.
  • If HDD cable is disconnected, the record icon and record LED still displays.
  • Motion grid of web page is different from local motion grid.
  • AVI Export {H.265 codec} supported on VLC

Also Identified:

  • No event emails sent when in hybrid mode from IP Cameras. This will be resolved in the next firmware release (TBA)
